Description
17" x 20" White Prisma pencil on Black charcoal paper.
I know, I know, another Work In progress. I've just been so scatter brained lately between a full course load, finding a job, and managing to get sleep every night. Yet again, another self portrait of me. The title will make more sense if I ever get the eyes done. This is cropped to show just the face, but it's actually set up landscape, with a lot of empty black to the right. I'm not sure if i want to fill it with something or not.
I love, I love, I LOVE drawing with white colored pencil on black, I don't know why I waited so long to start another one. Hopefully I'll be able to finish this and my other two WIPs over the next coming weeks. I think from there I might actually start doing portraits of other people and/or full body shots. I think I'm getting comfortable enough with my ability to venture outward. I really love doing the human flesh, trying to depict it's liveliness (or lack thereof) is one of my favorite challenges in drawing.
I'l shut up now lol. Any suggestions/ideas on what to do with the black abyss that is 2/3 of the piece please let me know, any feedback would be much appreciated
